About
I am a geek. I am a husband. I am a dad.
I have been a geek since the second grade, when the Coke-bottle glasses took effect. Professionally, I have been a UNIX Administrator for nearly two years, and am at present interested in the inter-workings of the Linux kernel and the base hardware. It intrigues me. I am a Red Hat Certified Technician, and am currently learning C.
I have been a husband for almost eight years. My beautiful wife supports my geekery, sometimes in spite of herself. She is a full-time student, a full-time mom, and a full-time supermodel (though she won’t admit this one).
I have been a dad for seven-and-a-half years. My oldest son turned seven in January, and is totally into video games. He just got a DS and loves Lego Star Wars. My youngest son is three, and is currently in the “do everything brother does” and “drive parents crazy” stages, which are usually one in the same. I understand that the latter lasts for about fifteen more years. He is particularly satisfied with his ability to tell the stories in his favorite books while following the pictures. Both my sons favor my good looks.
My one-year-old daughter giggles every time she pulls on my beard, and now has six teeth. Recently, she decided that walking backwards is funnier than anything else.
This site is a hobbyist’s playground at present, but will hopefully yield some form of useful dribble to someone somewhere at some time.
I dabble in programming, and let me tell you, it certainly is an adventure! I have to warn you though – I’m not a good programmer at this juncture. If you take any programming advice from me, I am not liable for breakage. I will not fix your computer.
