I am a geek. I am a husband. I am a dad.

I have been a geek since the second grade, when the Coke-bottle glasses took effect. Professionally, I have been a UNIX Administrator for nearly two years, and am at present interested in the inter-workings of the Linux kernel and the base hardware. It intrigues me. I am a Red Hat Certified Technician, and am currently learning C.

I have been a husband for almost eight years. My beautiful wife supports my geekery, sometimes in spite of herself. She is a full-time student, a full-time mom, and a full-time supermodel (though she won’t admit this one).

I have been a dad for seven years. My oldest son turned seven in January, and is totally into video games. He wants a DS. My youngest son is three, and is currently in the “do everything brother does” and “drive parents crazy” stages. I understand that the latter lasts for about 15 more years. He is particularly satisfied with his ability to tell the stories in his favorite books while following the pictures. Both my sons favor my good looks. :) My 10-month-old daughter giggles every time she pulls on my beard. Recently, she decided that if someone else coughs, it’s fun for her to cough too.

This site is a hobbyist’s playground at present, but will hopefully yield some form of useful dribble to someone somewhere at some time.

I dabble in programming, and let me tell you, it certainly is an adventure! I have to warn you though – I’m not a good programmer at this juncture. If you take any programming advice from me, I am not liable for breakage. I will not fix your computer.

Comments are always welcome! I’m glad to have you along for the ride! As long as you don’t spam me…
