There’s a thread on Apple’s forums for how to fix the “unrecognized selector” bug, with a download to a new .mailbundle that fixes the problem.

Looks like this has to do with the 10.6.3 OS X update of late. See here on the gpgmail-users mailing list: http://bit.ly/98pfQR.
I’ve confirmed that the same things happens to me.
The “unrecognized selector” exception looks like something Cocoa-related, and may be simply an interface bug. Guess we’ll have to see what happens in the future.
One workaround is to use OpenPGP/MIME, but this is only really helpful if you have the OpenPGP app. Otherwise, you have to save the *.asc file attachment and manually decrypt it with GPG.

I am able to get it to encrypt files but it won’t decrypt mail messages. I get this:

Internal error: -[MimePart getNumberOfAttachments:isSigned:isEncrypted:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x1179ab890

Do you have any ideas on what may be causing this error?

As far as “just works”, it certainly does. I get to retain my ability to dork around with things, troubleshoot, solve problems, and all that, but I never have to worry about whether my computer is *actually* sleeping, or whether it’s still running with the lid closed, I don’t have to worry about updates breaking my graphics configuration. I don’t have to eff around with hardware. I get to eff around with the system, which is what I want to do.

Hi, I have tried your workaround, but it does not cut it for me. First of all, normal suspend works once and only once after every boot. So I tried to modify /etc/default/acpi-support like you did and then ran sleep.sh. Same thing, it works fine the first time. Next time I try, it outputs

cat: /etc/network/run/ifstate: No such file or directory
cat: /etc/network/run/ifstate: No such file or directory

and then nothing more happens.

Also, after a successful wakeup, sleep.sh doesn’t finish. I have to kill it with “sudo killall -9 sleep.sh”

Any ideas?
