About

I am a geek. I am a husband. I am a dad.

I have been a geek since the second grade, when the Coke-bottle glasses took effect. Professionally, I have been a UNIX Administrator for nearly two years, and am at present interested in the interworkings of the Linux kernel and the base hardware. It intrigues me. I am a Red Hat Certified Technician, and am currently learning C.

I have been a husband for almost seven years. My beautiful wife supports my geekery, sometimes in spite of herself. She is a full-time student, a full-time mom, and a full-time supermodel (though she won’t admit this one).

I have been a dad for just over five years. My oldest son turned five in January, and is totally into Pirates (he likes Captain Jack Sparrow) and Transformers (he likes Bumblebee). My youngest is almost two, and is currently in the “bump into everything” stage. I understand that lasts for about 25 years. He is particularly satisfied with his ability to walk while babbling on about whatever is on his mind, and signing to us that he is hungry or thirsty. Both my sons favor my good looks. :)

This site is a hobbyist’s playground at present, but will hopefully yield some form of useful dribble to someone somewhere at some time.

I dabble in programming, if you couldn’t tell by the page titles above.  And let me tell you, they certainly are adventures!  I have to warn you though - I’m not a good programmer at this juncture.  If you take any programming advice from me, I am not liable for breakage.  I will not fix your computer.

Comments are always welcome! I’m glad to have you along for the ride! As long as you don’t spam me…
